Objective of the project

OFC network rollout in India was started by BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) way back in 90’s. Every player who entered the field of OFC Network buildup introduced their own set of specifications.

Recently more than 150 Thousand km of OFC network rollout has been proposed by Ministry of Defense and Department of Telecom. Out of which a SOW of 57000 km divided in various Packages was allotted

Sterlite is building an intrusion-proof communication network for the Indian Army together with state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) at 1,950 crore government spend in the Jammu & Kashmir region.

In 2014, Sterlite bagged a contract to create a communication network exclusively for the armed forces, as a part of Network for Spectrum (NFS) project asked Geoinfosys to execute the Network Buildup activity.
